What is a Puggle, you ask? A “puggle” is a common term for a baby platypus. However, in Children's Ministry circles, Puggles are nursery children who attend an enriching Awana program for your pre-Cubbies kids (usually older 2- and younger 3-year-olds who are not yet potty trained) that presents two basic biblical concepts:
- God made everything.
- We are a unique creation of God.
- God loves us very much.
Awana Puggles teaches toddlers simple lessons through teaching cards, activities, music and more. Awana Puggles leaders utilize a leader’s guidebook in planning and directing club time and communicating one of these biblical concepts in various ways that add excitement and fun for these young learners.
Parents are, of course, an Awana Puggle’s first and best teacher. Parents partner with Puggles leaders to reinforce the lessons with take-home cards that include ideas to point out God’s work each day. Little details like Awana Puggles T-shirts, puzzles and coloring books make every precious child feel like part of the group.
Awana Puggles is a club that plants seeds of faith and teaches toddlers God’s Word!
Puggles takes place in the Family Center Nursery from 6:45pm - 8:15pm. Out of respect and consideration for our nursery volunteers, children must be picked up no later than 8:30pm. Parents who attend the midweek adult service should consider sitting near the back or near the isle in an effort to minimize any disturbance to the service.
Your child's safety is our greatest concern. For that reason, registration is required in order to help ensure your child's safety and you will given a pager so that you can be reached at any time during the service if we need you. With the exception of parents who are volunteering in Children's Ministries, parents are not permitted to leave the campus once they drop off a child in the nursery.
