Sermon Notes | April 18-19, 2026

Clinging to OFFENSE, leaves no room for PEACE.

Relationships That Are Damaged In Unforgiveness

. First degree burn GOD.

But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Matthew 6:15 (NIV)

. Second degree burn OTHERS

“Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.

Proverbs 17:9 (NIV)

. Third degree burn OURSELVES.

“Resentment kills a fool, and envy slays the simple.”

Job 5:2 (NIV)

“” In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

Ephesians 4:26-27 (NLT)

Steps To Build A Bridge And get Over It

  1. Lead out in CONSTRUCTION.

“ If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Romans 12:18 (NIV)

2. Let go of your EMOTIONS.

“ Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)

3. LIFT THEM UP TO God.

“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

Luke 6:27-28 (NIV)

4. Leave the SITUATION with God.

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.”

Romans 12:19 (NIV)
